Working out doesn’t have to be tiresome or boring. There are lots of ways to make working out fun whether it is at home or at the gym. Staying healthy and in shape means for most of us that we have to work out. Lots of people dread this because they think that working out means going to the gym and doing drills and acting like you are in a boot camp. This is not the case. It can definitely be fun if you follow these few simple tips.
1. When You Look Good, You Feel Good!
When I wear a fun workout outfit, I feel more confident when I am at the gym. This is the perfect mindset when you are at the gym.
2. If I’m On The Treadmill, I’m Watching Netflix
This will make your time go by super quick and you can catch up on the latest “binge worthy series” everyone is talking about. This is where I can catch up on Orange is the New Black or my newest favorite, Bloodlines.
3. Bring A Friend.
Nothing gets you more motivated and keeps you accountable than to go to the gym with a workout buddy. Plus, while you’re waiting for a workout machine you can gossip and catch up on other things. And you’ll always have a post-workout snack date!
4. Make An Upbeat Workout Playlist.
When I work out, I have different songs I listen to depending on what I am doing. If I am doing cardio, I am listening to a more new wave/techno vibe. If I am strength training, I am listening to Imagine Dragons, Green Day, etc. When I have my cool down, I am listening to Indigo Girls, Jason Mraz or Better Than Ezra.
