DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters
This post contains affiliate links and/or images. It’s always the little details that make a party or special occasion memorable. No one is going to remember a party because you used those red cups. Everyone does those.
But they will remember the unique handmade DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters Dad proudly offers them to put their cups on.
These coasters will end up going home with your guests if you aren’t careful. Yes, that is how cool this craft is! This Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coaster Craft For Dad is a craft your kids will love to help you make.
Give Dad A Gift He Can Really Use
And the finished product will not be something Dad will want to put around the garage or use next to the grill. Dad will be touched at the thoughtfulness of the gift, and proud to show them off to his friends and family!
You won’t see these DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters hiding in a drawer somewhere! Another great Father’s Day gift the kids can make are these cute Scrapbook Paper Vest Cards.
A Fun Craft The Kids Can Make For Dad
There are three things I LOVE about this craft; it is easy, cheap and can be used for other occasions too! You can use these coasters for birthdays, Christmas, or even a rustic themed wedding!
We are making these for my daughter’s wedding this fall. They are so cute AND budget friendly. They will make the perfect take-away for the guests! No matter what your occasion they promise to be a point of conversation.
Here is what you will need to make your DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters:
- Quart jar or Daisy Mason Jar lids
- Superhero (or any other pattern Dad would like) fabric
- Cork
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks or Tacky Glue
- Twine or ribbon to match your fabric
- Small foam brush
- Mod Podge or Clear spray sealant
Step One: Trace and cut the fabric and then the cork, using the mason jar lid as a template.
Step Two: Glue the fabric to the side of the mason jar lid that will face out. Allow to dry completely.
Step Three: Glue the mason jar lid to the ring. You can use the super strong Tacky Glue or a hot glue gun. Allow to dry completely.
Step Four: Fit the cork inside the lid and glue. Allow to dry completely.
Step Five: Wrap twine around the lid rim and tie cording into place. I secured mine with a drop of hot glue on the opposite side from the knot.
Isn’t that easy? You can make a handful of these coasters in less than and hour. The drying time is what takes the longest. I know Dad will love this unique gift for Father’s Day!
How do you and your family celebrate Father’s Day? I would love to hear in the comments below!
