Soothing Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bomb Recipe
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #WetSkinMoisturizer #CollectiveBias I have had dry skin for as long as I can remember. And, if I am washing my hands a lot, then it gets even worse!
Dry Skin And Chapped Lips
I have tried just about every trick in the book to get my skin to feel better. But whatever I have tried didn’t last very long. I always carry chap stick and a small lotion with me wherever I go to avoid that dry, chapped skin and lips.
And then I found a miracle in the form of Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer! It has transformed how my skin looks and feels! This new and unique moisturizing system has been what I needed to get rid of this dry, itchy and irritated skin from these cold winter temps and wind.
Skin That Smells And Feels Good
I get my Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer from my local Walmart. You can choose from 3 fantastic scents; Green Tea Oil, Coconut Oil (my favorite) and Monoi Oil.
I love that these moisturizers from Jergens absorb 2 times faster and can keep my skin feeling amazing for 24 hours! It locks in the moisture on my wet skin and I don’t even rinse it off! Crazy, right?!
A Bath At The End Of A Long Day
One of my favorite things to do at the end of a long day is take a nice warm bath. If I use a favorite bath bomb, the water bubbles up when I drop one in and the bath smells yummy!
Coconut Oil Is A Great Moisturizer
Because I use the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer Coconut Oil in my bath bombs, I get the benefits of the formula in one of my favorite DIY Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bombs!
They are so easy to make and they just make bath time more fun! All you need is your rubber ducky and you can let our your inner child in that bathtub!
What You Will Need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Epsom salts
- 1/4 oatmeal (I give mine a few pulses in the food processor. It makes it easier to mold.)
- 4 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2-1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer, Coconut
- 10-20 drops lavender essential oil
- Lavender mica coloring
- Silicone mold
Step 1: In a medium size bowl, mix together all your dry ingredients.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together all your wet ingredients. Because I am using coconut oil for this Soothing Oatmeal Lavender Bath Bomb Recipe , I needed to heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes liquid.
Step 3: Slowly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients in the larger bowl. Mix together until mixture is like wet sand.
Step 4: Scoop mixture into your molds. Be sure to pack the mixture into each mold very tightly. It should be nice and compact. Allow to set for 24 hours.
Step 5: To release the bath bombs, just pop them gently from the mold. I put mine in a mason jar with a ribbon. I always make extra so I can keep one and share one!
You Can Also Make A Bath Soak
If your bath bombs do not form overnight, do not despair! Part of mine didn’t, so I decided if my bath bombs bombed, I would make it into a wonderful Oatmeal Lavender bath soak instead!
Either way, you are getting a real bath time treat! To get my skin to be it’s softest, I just apply the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer. You are going to be so happy with how your skin feels with this one-two winning punch!!
Check out the three varieties of the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer and tell me which one you would like to use!
