Vodka Cocktail Recipe
This post contains affiliate links and/or images. When I was a kid and we went out for a “fancy” dinner, my parents would let my sister and I order a Shirley Temple. This classic drink is made with ginger ale, a splash of grenadine and garnished with a maraschino cherry.
A Grown Up Shirley Temple
As an adult, I have not lost that love for the drink of my childhood. I have changed it to be an adult version, called a Dirty Shirley Vodka Cocktail Recipe. If you are looking for cocktail ideas and suggestions, you have landed in the right page!
The Dirty Shirley Vodka Cocktail Recipe is a light and refreshing drink. It is easy to make and your guests will love it. It will make the perfect signature drink for your next party.
It is affordable and pairs well with virtually any food. This drink goes perfectly with my Pork Enchiladas with a Creamy Green Sauce!
This Vodka Cocktail Recipe Is Adaptable
What I love about this Dirty Shirley Vodka Cocktail Recipe, is you can change it to fit your taste. If you don’t have or like vodka, add tequila or gin. If you don’t have grenadine, add cranberry juice.
Garnish with your favorite fruit if you don’t want the cherries. I had fresh blackberries and oranges, and they were perfect with this delicious drink! Leave out the alcohol and you have a great mocktail for the kids.
To make the Dirty Shirley Cocktail , you will need:
- 1 oz vodka
- 5 – 6 oz lemon lime soda or club soda
- 1 dash grenadine syrup
- Splash of Cranberry Juice (optional)
- Squeeze of lemon
So Easy To Make!
Add ice to your favorite cocktail glass. Pour your alcohol and soda. Top with the grenadine syrup and/or cranberry juice and stir.
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon and garnish with fresh fruit. Now you have made the delicious Dirty Shirley Vodka Cocktail Recipe!

October 10, 2017 at 6:45 pmI love the drink recipes you post. I remember growing up my parents would have people over and serve fancy cocktails. Once in a while I would get a small sip. Funny thing is they always used whiskey and today whiskey is one of the few liquors that I’m not that fond of.
