Grandmothers Are The Heart Of The Family
My grandmother was more like a second mom to me. She taught me how to wear make-up, she bought me my first bra and she let me cry on her shoulder when I had my first heartbreak.
She had a small coop with a few chickens and when we were visiting, my sister and I were allowed to gather the eggs.
Deviled Egg Macaroni Pasta Salad Recipe
One of my favorite snacks would be anything with hard-boiled eggs. We would eat them plain or Gram would make her delicious deviled eggs.
My dad loved her pasta salad recipes, which were a must have at every picnic, BBQ or even Sunday dinner.
A Dish To Be Passed Down Through Generations
This is a recipe that I have passed down to my oldest daughter. This recipe is super easy to make and it travels well. This is a great side dish to take to a church potluck or to casual party.
We will make a batch with some fried chicken and take it to a new family in the neighborhood or a family with a new baby.
Healthy Can Still Be Delicious
If you are looking for a healthier side dish, you can adapt this recipe. All you need to do is use a lower fat or fat-free mayonnaise. You can also use a whole wheat or a gluten-free pasta.
Because you get the flavors of the eggs, the mustard, the relish and the onion, you cannot tell the difference with the lower fat mayonnaise.
Here is what you will need to order the supplies to make your Deviled Egg Macaroni Pasta Salad Recipe a hit!:

August 6, 2015 at 2:20 pmMy husband and I made some new friends, and we’ve been getting together pretty regularly. But I’ve noticed something…they won’t eat anything store bought. We had a BBQ and I bought pre-made salads to save time. Nope, didn’t touch them. But when I make them from scratch, they gobble them up. This I’m sure they’d be licking the bowl!

July 26, 2016 at 3:42 pmOMG!!! I just made this up and I am posting the review per requests. It is dynamite!! I didn’t change one single thing. Don’t you just hate when people say they made something and then changed like 4 things in it. DO NOT change anything. This is killer! I made a half batch for my husband and I, and I am already wishing I had made the full one. He tasted it and loved it. I guarantee there won’t be any left over.

September 27, 2016 at 7:23 pmGood recipe in theory but had an odd taste with all the elements combined. Not sure if it needs to be seasoned differently or what. I ate it but I wouldn’t personally make it again. Could just be my own personal taste preferences though! Fun recipe to try.

December 22, 2016 at 6:49 amThis sounds like something I will try to make. I think my husband will like it. More than that, I love the story with your Grandmother. I was the youngest grandchild on both sides of the family. I did not get those kind of memories. By that time older sisters and cousins “tolerated” me and let me hang with them.

February 9, 2017 at 11:29 pmYour recipe looks fantastic! My sisters are going to go nuts for this side dish. They both love deviled eggs as well as macaroni. I love the fact that all of your food ideas are great the whole year round, not relegated to one particular day.

March 25, 2018 at 2:47 pmFor those looking for feedback from people who have actually tried this recipe, not just commenting that they will try it, I’ve made this exactally as written and it’s absolutely amazing! I highly recommend! I’ve also made it with slight changes because of what we had on hand and due to personal preference. That was also really good. I always try AS WRITTEN first, then adjust to taste or as necessary with what I have. Adaptations: used sweet onion, omitted peppers, used dijon mustard, used salad cubes (instead of relish), added 2 Tbs gherkin pickle brine & 1 tsp vinegar. As I said, excellent as written, forgiving/adaptable to what’s in your fridge/pantry if necessary. Thanks for the wonderful recipe, Kelly!
