This is a sponsored post. All opinions and content on how my family decided to dive into Cheddar’s fresh summer menu are 100% mine. When summer hits in the south, it hits hard. This weekend, the exterior temperature of the car was 104 degrees.
Now that’s hot! The last thing I want to do when the temps rise that high is cook. Our little house can heat up quick when I turn the oven on. Instead, we will eat out. Our favorite place? Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen!
We were excited to visit Cheddar’s to check out their new tropical-inspired drinks and dishes. With fresh fruits being in season, what a perfect time to grab our Passport To Summer and dive into Cheddar’s fresh summer menu! With their hand-crafted drinks and scratch-made goodness, our favorite restaurant feels like a trip to the beach.
- Maui Margarita
- Presidente Sangria
- Island Tiki
- Cheddar’s Pina Colada
- Cheddar’s Painkiller
Some of their tropical-inspired menu items include:
- Sweet Heat Chicken & Shrimp
- Grilled Tilapia and Shrimp with Mango Salsa
- Blackened Redfish Sandwich
One of our favorite appetizers are the Homemade Onion Rings. Who can resist those fresh-cut, hand-battered and crunchy rings? We always order extras of the homemade ranch and Cajun dipping sauce.
My husband ordered the Blakened Redfish Sandwich from the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen menu. It is served with lettuce, tomato, pickles and is topped with Cajun tartar sauce. Chris said he could eat that tartar sauce by the bucket!
I ordered the Crispy Chicken Tender Salad. I cannot get enough of those hand-breaded chicken tenders! They are on top of fresh greens, cheddar and jack cheese, tomatoes, carrots, and their delicious honey mustard dressing.
Caitlin ordered the Chicken Tender Platter from the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen menu. As like her mom, she cannot resist those hand breaded chicken tenders! They are so light and the breading has a wonderful crunch. And the chicken is so moist! For her fries, she decided to add the Cheddar’s Cheese Fries. They are topped with a ton of cheddar and jack
cheese, and crispy bacon.
My sweet Henry has a limited list of foods he will eat. With his autism, he has many food aversions. I love how accommodating our server Lana was. She was happy to suggest the plain penne pasta with just butter. He always orders their fries. He LOVES them! Can you believe how much pasta he got?! That dish is as big as his head!
