DIY Farmhouse Dining Table Centerpiece
This post contains affiliate images or links. Thanksgiving is just a few days away! I realized I still had food shopping and decorating to do. We got most of the groceries we needed over the weekend.
The only thing I needed to do was to decorate the table. What to do, what to do!? Make this gorgeous Easy Rustic Fall Or Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece with fall and Thanksgiving decor and craft supplies we purchased from Oriental Trading of course!
I love to find DIY and crafting projects for my home. Caitlin and I have made several DIY projects inspired by ideas fro Oriental Trading, including the gorgeous DIY Floral Easter Egg Wreath. I cannot wait to show you what we are making for Christmas!
So Many Great Wedding Decor Options
My oldest daughter is getting married soon. We are doing most of the decor ourselves. I was relieved to find Oriental Trading Company had an entire section dedicated to weddings.
We got started with some Mason Jar fun in my post, 7 Ways To Plan A Magical Wedding On A Budget. All you need are a handful of supplies from Oriental Trading Company and a few hours! Before you know it, you will have a beautiful new decorative item for your home.
Here is what you will need to make my DIY Farmhouse Dining Table Centerpiece :
- Wooden Flower Box
- Stain
- Clean rag
- Bag of Pine Cones
- Moss Table Runner
- Faux Eucalyptus Stems
- Monogram Stencils or adhesive letters
- Acrylic paint
- Brush
- Faux fall flowers, leaves, greenery
- Gourds, pumpkins, and other fall decor
- Floral foam
- Moss or hay
Step One: Stain your DIY Flower Box Centerpiece
Step Two: If you like to allow the wood grain to show through, wipe the stain with a clean cloth. If not, add one more coat of stain.
Step Three: Using adhesive letters, spell a word that is something that resonates with your family. Caitlin came up with “loving.” Oh my heart, I love that girl!
Step Four: Cut and place floral foam inside box and cover with moss, hay or straw.
Step Five: Add your faux fall flowers, greenery and foliage. Caitlin and I had so much fun deciding where to put each piece and looked best with what.
Step Six: Add some of your pine cones, but save some for the table!
Step Seven: Carefully take your moss out of the bag and unroll onto the table. This is real moss, so it is fragile. Be gentle!
Place your DIY Farmhouse Dining Table Centerpiece on top of the moss. Arrange your Gourds, pumpkins, and other fall decor around the centerpiece. See how our Meepy girl is making sure everything looks beautiful?!
Do you decorate for fall and/or Thanksgiving? I would love to hear about what you do to make your home festive! Please share below!
