There are three things I LOVE about this DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters. It is easy, cheap and can be used for other occasions too! You can use these coasters for birthdays, Christmas, or even a rustic themed wedding! We are making these for my daughter’s wedding this fall. They are so cute AND budget friendly. Here is what you will need to make your DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters:
- Quart jar or Daisy Mason Jar lids
- Superhero (or any other pattern Dad would like) fabric
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks or Tacky Glue
- Twine or ribbon to match your fabric
- Small foam brush
- Mod Podge or Clear spray sealant
Step One: Trace and cut the fabric and then the cork, using the mason jar lid as a template.
Step Two: Glue the fabric to the side of the mason jar lid that will face out. Allow to dry completely.
Step Three: Glue the mason jar lid to the ring. You can use the super strong Tacky Glue or a hot glue gun. Allow to dry completely.
Step Four: Fit the cork inside the lid and glue. Allow to dry completely.
Step Five: Wrap twine around the lid rim and tie cording into place. I secured mine with a drop of hot glue on the opposite side from the knot.
Isn’t that easy? You can literally make a handful of these DIY Superhero Mason Jar Lid Coasters in less than and hour. The drying time is what takes the longest. I know Dad will love this unique gift for Father’s Day!
